What if your work was meant to GIVE you energy and not take your energy?
This is an important one for all coaches, healers, spiritual beings, and anyone building a business or doing something to make the world a better place:
It’s actually a dark agenda that you feel like work is hard, that it’s not meant to be enjoyable, that it’s “risky” or too hard to pursue your passions.
Think about who it benefits for you to believe it’s safer to go “get a job,” have someone else determine what you’re worth, where & when you need to be somewhere…and run you into the ground so you have no energy left for your passions, or to simply enjoy your life.
If you’re barely making ends meet, or even if you have a “good” salary but are convinced you need to pour every penny of it into a mortgage, into food delivery when you’re too exhausted to cook, into an Instagrammable holiday to escape it all for a couple weeks….
You can probably see how that keeps you (the collective you, even) just exhausted, or just comfortable, enough to not ask too many questions…or have too much ambition to figure out another way.
But, you. You who is here….on some version of your own spiritual or personal development journey.
I know you have questions 😂
You’ve looked up from that groundhog day and asked, why? And – there must be a better way?
There must be MORE to this?
That pull you have is absolutely correct.
You’re MEANT to follow those intuitive pulls you have towards your purpose.
And maybe you already followed the pull to leave a job that didn’t feel like it, or start a business that you know deep down IS it…
You thought you’d immediately love it, but it still feels…heavy. Like a massive weight on your shoulders to “get it right.”
The work still feels like work.
Following your passion and purpose was supposed to feel incredible….
But it still feels like:
- you gave yourself a new 9 to 5, and still have to “earn” a day off
- measuring productivity and doing a “good job” by how many hours you worked
- saying yes to clients or offers you don’t love, because “that’s just business”
- feeling guilty, or even suspicious, when something comes easily
- forcing yourself to create content or follow strategies you don’t love bc an “expert” said it’s how to do things
If any of that sounds familiar, it’s not because you’re doing business wrong.
And it’s definitely not because you’re not meant to be running your own business (a sneaky belief that can arise.)
It’s just your old beliefs running the show.
You ARE meant to follow your purpose and pulls.
And the business you build IS meant to give you energy, not drain it.
It’s meant to feel fulfilling.
This doesn’t mean it’s supposed to be “easy” as in comfortable and never challenging.
Overcoming a challenge IS something that you will inherently find fulfilling, if that challenge feels like it has a purpose, and you have learned something from it.
The source truth is that humans are meant to be continually learning, evolving, growing, overcoming challenges and learning the lessons from those challenges.
And you’re meant to find work that fulfills this – that is your true soul purpose work in this lifetime.
And you will enjoy it. You might even love it. Become obsessed with it.
Have so much passion for it that you WANT to work for hours at a time…something you thought you were trying to avoid, because a “job” never felt that way.
So, here’s what I want you to sit with this week (+ journal prompts):
Where in your business (or the business you want to create) are you still following the old rules of what a “job” is supposed to look like?
Are you measuring your “productivity” by how many hours you clocked into your purpose?
Are you waiting for a certain dollar amount to hit your bank account before you let yourself say, “it’s working”?
Are you still running a subconscious program that, “work is hard” and letting that exhaust you?
Take these as journal prompts, and dig a little deeper.
If you want your business to have longevity, you need to reframe your relationship with “it’s hard”.
Learn to become fulfilled by working through a challenge.
Learn that YOU now make the rules.
That’s your intuitive CEO identity.
And this is your invitation to step into her right now.
